1.1.0 Latest October 24, 2026

Added

  • VoiceOver in the email designer: Each element on the canvas and in the outline now reads its kind and content, such as "Heading 2", "Read More, No link", "No alt text" or "2 columns, Stays side by side on phones". It also says when an element is hidden in the email or locked. Duplicate, Delete, Move Up, Move Down, Hide/Show in Email and Lock/Unlock are available as VoiceOver actions (VO-Command-Space), so you don't need a right-click, hover or drag. When you select an element, the VoiceOver cursor stays on it.
  • VoiceOver in Analytics: Each stat tile reads as one item, such as "Open Rate, 66.7%". The opens and clicks chart reads each day's opens and clicks separately instead of adding them together, and it has an audio graph with a summary. The Devices and Email clients bars read their counts.
  • Voice Control short names: You can say just the name to click a template tile ("Click Newsletter") or a row in Campaigns, Analytics, Subscribers or Automations.
  • Chart that doesn't rely on color: With Differentiate Without Color turned on, opens show as wide bars and clicks as narrow bars, with a caption explaining them.

Changed

  • Easier-to-read colors: Buttons, the selected part of segmented controls, status badges, error messages, links and coral text now use shades that are easier to read in both light and dark mode. This includes the name of the selected Settings tab in dark mode.
  • Reduce Motion is respected: The sidebar's hover highlight and the "Paste an API key instead" section no longer animate when Reduce Motion is on.
  • Clearer names for VoiceOver and Voice Control: The subscriber table's Edit, Unsubscribe, Resubscribe and Delete buttons, the delete buttons on automation emails and filter rules, and the audience filter's Field, Condition, Status and Value controls now have spoken names. So do the steppers, text fields and inspector buttons such as Remove and Clear. Steppers read their value once instead of twice. The tooltips on subscriber row buttons now explain what each button does.
  • User guide headings: Article titles and section headings in the user guide are now headings, so VoiceOver can jump between them.

Fixed

  • New rows cut off: A campaign, automation or subscriber list added at the top of its list now shows at full height. Previously its sender line and status badge could be cut off.
  • VoiceOver focus after removing items: After you delete an automation email or remove a filter rule, the VoiceOver cursor now moves to Add Email or Add Rule instead of jumping to the top of the window.
1.0.0 October 15, 2026

First release of Pixla Mail.

Added

  • Visual email designer — each campaign's design opens in its own window: drag headings, text, buttons, images, dividers, spacers, multi-column rows, social links, and a footer onto a 600px canvas. A live outline, a property and style inspector, select several elements at once (⌘- or ⇧-click), copy and paste between designs, lock elements against edits, hide them from the email, and named undo/redo for every change. Designs save automatically.
  • Desktop and phone preview — preview the real email HTML at desktop width or on a phone, where multi-column rows stack into a single column (turn stacking off per row for things that should stay side by side).
  • Images hosted for you — choose or drop a picture and it's converted for email and hosted on Pixla's CDN, so it shows in every inbox.
  • Social links — icons for 10 networks in gray, dark, or light, or plain text links.
  • Start from a Pixla Sites page — import a page from a .pxs document as a campaign design: brand colours carry over, fonts map to email-safe ones, and anything email can't show is listed.
  • Email-client-safe HTML — every design renders to table-based, inline-CSS HTML built for real inboxes: Outlook (MSO) conditional comments, bulletproof table buttons, web-safe fonts, and a footer with your mailing address and an unsubscribe link.
  • Compliant by default — every campaign carries your mailing address and a working unsubscribe link (Pixla adds them if a design leaves them out), plus one-click unsubscribe for Gmail, Yahoo, and Apple Mail's built-in Unsubscribe button.
  • Template library — start a new campaign from a built-in preset (Blank, Newsletter, Announcement, Welcome) or one of your own saved templates, and save any campaign as a reusable template.
  • Campaign management — create, duplicate, and delete campaigns with subject, preheader, and sender name/email; each campaign shows a status badge (draft, scheduled, sending, sent, failed) in the list. Deleting a campaign, list, subscriber, automation, or template can be undone.
  • Send and schedule — send now to the selected audience with a recipient-count confirmation, schedule a send for a future date and time, cancel a pending schedule, or retry a failed send.
  • Subscriber lists — create, name, and rename lists, and manage them in a sortable table of email, first/last name, status, and tags; add subscribers manually, edit them in a sheet, unsubscribe or resubscribe, or delete them.
  • CSV import and export — import subscribers from a CSV file, and export a full list or a filtered view back out to CSV.
  • Audience segmentation — filter a subscriber list, or refine a campaign's audience, with match-all/match-any rules on tag, status, email, first name, or last name.
  • Pixla Hosting Forms sync — pull subscribers captured by Pixla Hosting's built-in Forms into a list, and include list membership when syncing subscribers back to Hosting.
  • Drip automations — build automated email sequences triggered when a subscriber is added or a tag is applied, scoped to chosen lists, with ordered steps that each carry their own delay, subject, and email design.
  • A/B subject-line testing — send two subject-line variants to a percentage of recipients, pick the winner by opens or clicks after a chosen window, then auto-send the winner to the remaining audience.
  • Campaign analytics — a dashboard of total sent, opens, clicks, open/click rates, and bounces across all campaigns, plus per-campaign detail with an opens-and-clicks-over-time chart and device and email-client breakdowns.
  • Settings — connect your Pixla account (Connect with Pixla signs in through pixla.app in your browser, or paste an API key; either way the key is kept in the Keychain), set a default sender name and email (with inline validation), and your mailing address, along with how many emails you've sent this month.
  • Pixla Mail User Guide — a searchable guide built into the Help menu (⌘?), covering campaigns, the designer, subscribers, automations, analytics, and sending limits; the same guide is published at pixla.app/docs/mail.
  • Legal, help, and feedback — a bundled EULA reader plus links to the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and related policies; FAQs, Contact, and the product website in the Help menu; and one-click Report a Bug / Send Feedback that opens a pre-filled diagnostic email to support.
