What does Pixla cost?
The apps are free. Pixla Sites, Pixla Editor and Vaporware cost nothing to download and nothing to use, with no trial and no feature held back. The business is Pixla Hosting and Pixla Mail — the services you pay for only once you want somewhere to put what you built. See Pricing for the details.
Do I need to know how to code?
Not for Pixla Sites. You build pages by dragging elements onto a canvas and styling them in an inspector, and the app writes the HTML and CSS. Pixla Editor is there for the day you want to hand-edit that code — it is not a prerequisite.
Who owns the sites I build?
You do, completely. Export gives you a folder of plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript with no frameworks, no trackers and no dependency on us — it opens from your desktop with no internet at all. You can host it anywhere. Pixla Hosting is a convenience, never a lock-in.
Does a published site need Pixla Hosting?
No. Publishing to Pixla Hosting is one click and handles TLS, forms and analytics for you, but the same export works on any static host. Nothing in the output phones home.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on any published site. Attach the domain in the Publish sheet and Pixla Sites shows you the exact DNS records to create; certificates issue automatically once they resolve. Your .pixla.app address keeps working alongside it.
Where do form submissions go?
To Pixla Hosting, automatically, once the site is published — you read them at hosting.pixla.app, and every form ships with invisible spam protection and no CAPTCHA. If you would rather use your own endpoint, set the form's Action field and that wins.
Do the apps work offline?
Yes. Everything except publishing is local: the editor, the six bundled fonts, the Media Studio and the export all run with no network. Your documents are ordinary files on your disk, and nothing is uploaded unless you press Publish.
Is my work sent anywhere?
No. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting and no analytics in the apps, and your content never leaves your Mac except through the explicit Publish action. See the Privacy Policy for the full statement.
Which macOS do I need?
macOS 26 or later. The apps are native Swift and SwiftUI, built for current macOS rather than carrying compatibility layers for older versions.
How do I get help with a specific feature?
Every app has its full guide built in under its Help menu, and the same guides are published here under Docs. If neither answers it, email support@pixla.app — a person reads it.
