Introducing Vaporware

Vaporware is a Mac app for building with Vapor, the web framework for Swift. Open a Vapor project and it runs: Vaporware finds your Package.swift, resolves the dependencies and starts the server. No terminal, no Docker, no database to set up by hand.

It looks after everything a local server needs. Each project builds with the Swift toolchain it expects. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite and Redis are built in, ready when a project asks for one. Projects answer at their own myapp.test address over HTTPS instead of a port number, and a built-in mail catcher keeps every email your app sends while you develop.

While you work, requests, routes and errors arrive in a live log you can filter and search, and environment variables live in a visual editor instead of a .env file.

When it’s ready to go out, Vaporware publishes it to Pixla Hosting in one click.

If you’ve used Herd for Laravel, Vaporware is that idea for Vapor. It’s free, at vaporwareapp.com.
